Another fantastic book design and written by F.H.K Henrion. The book shows Aliance Graphique Internationale member's work in from the 50's to the 80's. The members were 350 eminent designers from 24 countries. The book not only feature their works but also people behind it. It's fascinating to see the face of designers that I admire. Too bad all the pictures are in black and white. It seems that designers nowadays much more casual than before. If i were born at those period I definitely would be a smoker. Imagine smoking cigar and discussing design with Stankowski and Henrion.
The quality picture of the works are very high. I do like the vertical type with a grey color. It's consistence from the cover to the inside of the book. The book is very rich information about each designer. Sometimes, Henrion place the image in the diagonal way that I found really exciting. If you like their stories and writing I recommended to get this book and if you like to focus on the image get the AGI's book by Rudolph de Harak.
