Giulio Cittato was born in Venice, Italy on June 3 1936. He graduated from Venice University in 1963 and moved to Milan to work for La Rinascente. In 1965, he came The United States and worked for Unimark International, the Centre for Advanced Researched in Design and the Container Corporation of America before he moved back to Venice. He designed the corporate identity program and signage for the Venetian public transport authorities. He also became a teacher at the Corso Superiore di Disegno Industriale and International University of Art in Venice. Most of his works are architectural graphics and packaging design.
A bold of helvetica with very tight kerning remains me of Vignelli’s work. He also combines heavy and thin strokes of line. His creativity is always based on the reason and logic. He is a modernist.
