













George Lois was born on June 26, 1931 in the Bronx, New York. Lois attended the High School of Music and Art. He continue his education at Pratt Institute even though he received an offer basketball scholarship to Syracuse University. He only last for a year in Pratt and decided to work for Reba Sochis. He drafted by the Amy for Korean war.
After the war, he worked for CBS as a designer in the advertising and promotions department. In 1959, he moved to Doyle Dane Bernbach. A year later, he recruited by Fred Papert and Julian Koenig. In 1967, he created a company Louis, Holland, Callaway. Finally, he make his own agency, Lois.
George Louis is the only person who received both The Art Directors Hall of Fame and The One Club Creative Hall of Fame. He also received a lifetime Achievement Award from the American Institute of Graphic Arts and Society of Publication Designers. If you like to see more of his work you could check here.
