After 4 issues of Octavo published with conventional grid, Octavo created a very radical and experimental in this fifth issue. Robin Kinross, Wim Crouwel and Peter Mayer contributed articles this issue referring to the usage of lowercase on different applications. It would very appropriate that they use only lowercase in this issue but Robin Kinross chose to use uppercase in his essay. I feel the diagonal layout is very dutch design which use many diagonal in their design. The use of different size and weight in the article creates another dimension to the layout with additional bright yellow color. I found this issue is really interesting but I found the diagonal layout is very hard to be read.
