"What makes this book unique is not simply that it has two tittles but that it has two beginnings. From the front it reads "Readers wanted for the future of the work"; and from the back, "instructions the Work of the Future"- or vice versa. Kutter addresses these two themes in playful essays. In the middle, where two parts meet, are my "typography illustrations." The examples are taken from this middle section. This is what Gerstner describes this book. This is another pleasure of mine to look closely Markus Kutter's book designed by Karl Gerstner in The Lubalin Center at Cooper Union. I have been looking for this book for quite so long but the price has never suit for my pocket. This book is another example integral typography designed by Gerstner. I found his work with grid are simply amazing. He created very simply grid but the usage of the grids are limitless. His creativity to the solution always give me a pleasant surprise.
