The second issue of Octavo was intended to be published in 1986 but it was realized on the spring 1987. The second issue has more contributors than the first issue. The first chapter is "Sematic Composition" written by Peter Mayer. Mayer looks at the Stefan Themerson's 'internal vertical justification method' for laying out text to encase meaning." The second chapter features Fortunato Depero, a painter, sculptor, writer and desgier." The third chapter the one that I most festinated in this issue. Then work of Geoff White written by Colin Maughan. A really nice typography work. I wish there were more examples of White's works. The last chapter was "Image as Typography" by Hans-Rudolf Lutz.
The same grid and typeface "unica" still be issued for this issue. The bold red color is replaced to the blue color. I do really like the way of the title placed vertically with a grey printed. This issue was actually finished just before the Christmas break 1986 but the christmas holiday was unavoidable.
