The contents of the third issue are from the work of Ian Hamilton Finlay written by Peter Rea and the Columbia University Graduate Program designed by Willi kunz. A critic and writer Kenneth Frampton described Kunz's posters as Printed in 'special' colours, the reproduction by CTD of these posters is quite incredible, holding the finest detail at reduced size by sanning from the originals and using selective filtration to reconstruct in miniature, separated colour, picture and typographic elements."
I am quite lucky to have some of the Colombia posters given by Willi Kunz himself but he refused to put his autograph in the posters. Kunz thinks that would ruin the aesthetic of the poster. Even though 8vo mentioned that this issue as "one of the lowest points of the whole series; the realisation some time later that you can't make typography out of nothing", I still like this issue a lot. The vertical opening of the magazine looks very appealing.
