












Fred Troller was bron in Zurich on December 12, 1930. In 1950, Troller graduated from the Zurich School of design. He began his career as a teacher at the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich. In 1954, he worked for the motion picture producer Lois de Rochemont. In the 1960, he worked for Geigy Chemical Corporation as design director in NY. In 1966, he established his own studio, Troller Associates, in Rye. His clients including Exxon, General Electric, I.B.M, Westinghouse, American Airline, Doubleday, and many more.
Troller also taught at the School of Visual Arts and Cooper Union in NYC, the State University of New York, Purdue University, Philadelphia College of Art, Ohio State, Southeastern University, RISD, and lastly he was chairman of design at Alfred University, NY.

I had a chance to see actual Fred Troller's work at the Herb Lubalin Center of Design and Typography at The Cooper Union in New York. I am really glad that he Herb Lubalin Center of Design and Typography at The Cooper Union did the exhibition feature rarely seen publicly work.
