Bradbury Thompson was born on March 25 1911 in Jones Park, Riverside, Connecticut. Thompson graduated from Washburn University. He started his career by working at Capper Publication and he promoted to be an Art Director with Rogers-Lellog-Stillson. In 1938, Thompson was began to involve with Westvaco Inspirations. At this stage of his career he designed lay out with war and peace related. At the end of the WW I, Thompson experimented with CMYK color process to create some motions. He also interpreted the spirit of artist through his typography. His sense of typography are varied and always looks interesting and fun. Thompson mentioned "Type can be a tool, a toy and a teacher; it can provide a means of livelihood, a hobby for relaxation, an intellectual stimulant- and a spiritual satisfaction." What he said that can be proven by example of his works. Thompson is a really outstanding designer.
